At the most basic level of existence we are creatures who need material sustenance and adequate psychological equilibrium (within ourselves and with those around us) to satisfying  needs that allow us to survive physically and mentally. But humans - at least some humans - seem to need more.

Perhaps you remember waking up as a young child - expecting every brand new day to be your feast to enjoy, to express yourself, play, learn, and discover something new. If you've ever seen a 12-month old enthralled with a cardboard box, you understand what I mean! Remember the urge for action it brought about, your outbursts of energy, and the happiness you felt when you  created what you wanted, and were able to play with or be with whom you wanted!  We played more for the fun of playing. Most children from 2 to 6 years of age do not care about who wins, the final score, or even the rules for the game! Your creative spirit was in action and your soul was nourished. There is a place within you that knows how to find its way back to your paradise. This paradise is where it all makes sense!

What's an easy way to get there? When one begin's to believe that it's possible, your head begins to partner with your heart.  The simple act of believing and trusting is the bridge between your head and heart.

How do you know when it's time to make take the jump of transformation and live more from this unique place? It's a very individual process and will be different for each person. However, here are some ideas; The pain of where you are right now becomes greater than the fear of change, and/or there are signs and signals around  you that can no longer be ignored (these are those multitude of coincidences that point you to your next step).

When you allow your head to believe that what your heart is telling you can be real, and you feel supported (internally and externally) in that belief, one can cross the bridge of possibility and transform their life.

What fears surface when following your heart? And, how can one move through those fears?

Fears that surface when following your heart can be things such as "what will others think?", "how will I succeed?", "how will I prosper?", "This is not logical/rational/practical", etc. Yet anything you fear;  losing - money, status/position, reputation, etc. is simply coming from the ego and from the need for symbols of external power. What we really fear when any of us follow our hearts is an increase in our vulnerability. We fear letting go of the thick outer crust we formed so very long ago. This armor has protected us from the "big /bad" world.

For some reason, a lot of us seekers think or possibly hope, that after we learn Reiki, or read Conversations with God, we should somehow be so forever changed that our lives take this dramatic turn into a kind of sainthood/mastery,  protected by the angels, and guided by the universe to light the way to a life of profound meaning.

Nuh-huh.

We have only skimmed the surface. And no matter how many courses you take, no matter what amount of books you've read, or indeed what incredible deeds of valor or kindness you have bestowed upon others: you're in the same boat. You've only skimmed the surface. We will take ourselves though the process of personal transformation many, many times in one life time.

So, why not just relax, enjoy life, let it unfold, and without hesitation accept the gifts the universe tries to bestow on us (without wondering when the other shoe will drop)!  This world and all its beauty was created just for us. Come on, "Just Do It",  go through the open door that presents itself (it will be obvious) and make the most out of this precious gift! When you do you will enjoy your life (your personal paradise) and enjoy the lives of those around you.

The good news is a path charted by the way of fear and doubt is a powerless dead end. And, the reality is that you have all the power you need at your disposal all the times, if you only recognize it and use it. The power is within you.

By nature, all the happiness and peace available to us is too big for one person. So, if you abide in this great force (your power center)  you will automatically radiate and share it. So live life, love passionately, and laugh often!
